2000 Kisses by Christina Skye

Tess O’Mara just pulled off the public relations deal of the century and her boss promised her a big bonus, she never expected the to find a million dollar bonus in her checking account. So when she learns the money isn’t hers and her life may be in danger, her brother sends to Almost Arizona relying on Sheriff T.J. McCall to keep his sister safe. Of course safety is relative as the cowboy sheriff quickly learns the number one threat to Tess is himself. On the other hand, while Tess is attracted to the handsome cowboy, she knows her time in Almost is limited so she tries to keep T.J. at bay. But when the criminals come looking for their money, all hell breaks loose. Now assuming T.J. manages to rescue Tess, will Tess choose to go back to her P.R. job or will she choose to stay in Almost with him.

I picked up this book because I love Christina’s books and the back cover hinted at a story revolving around a year 2k problem. While I was a little disappointed how little impact the anticipated computer problems had on the story, there was more than enough suspense and humor to keep my fingers turning the pages. So even though this is a Christina Skye book without a Navy Seal, I think this one is a keeper.
