Tell Me Your Secrets… by Cara Summers

Brooke Ashby just learned she has a twin sister – a twin sister who’s been missing for five weeks. Knowing that Cameron may be the victim of foul play, Brooke decides to assume her sister’s identity and make an appearance at her home. But little did she suspect that she’d fall into bed with her sister’s fiancé Sloan Campbell. Sloan knows that the person claiming to be Cameron isn’t, because he’s far more attracted to this woman that his fiancé. Now can Brooke succumb to Sloan’s charms before she finds the person behind her sister’s disappearance or will she suffer the same fate as her sister.

I really enjoyed the soap opera writer heroine and how she managed to tie everything back to the stories she wrote. I also liked seeing Pepper again from When She Was Bad… (Blaze #239). Cara did an exceptional job with the mystery and the ending was very powerful. This book would definitely be worth reading a second time. If you enjoy complex Blaze stories, then I know you’ll love this book.

Two Hot! by Cara Summers

Zoë McNamara worked for the CIA for all of two months before starting on her Ph.D. at Georgetown University. There she runs into Jed Calhoun and wants nothing more than to kiss him. Promising herself that one night of wild sex would get him out of her system, Zoë decides to sleep with Jed. A couple of days after that, she runs into Ethan Blair and again she feels the urge to get naked. Unlike Jed, Ethan reminds her of James Bond and just like all of the women Bond becomes involved with, Zoë finds herself in the middle of some nasty spy business. Assuming that Zoë can stay alive long enough, she needs to make up her mind, Ethan or Jed or both?

For a writer, this book is very interesting as it crosses into an uncharted area. Zoë finds herself torn between two men so much so that she fantasies about having sex with both of them at the same time. Beyond the fantasy, the book tells an interesting tale involving a CIA operation gone wrong. This book is definitely worth the time to read, especially if you like books that try to push the limits of a Blaze.

When She Was Bad... by Cara Summers

With very little time to retrieve the stolen painting, Pepper Rossi followed the thief to an exotic island where she hoped to convince the thief to return it. Since the thief was her aunt, Pepper figured the odds were in her favor. Unfortunately, Cole Buchanan, who just happened to work for the same detective agency, followed her to the island. Pepper knows her skills as a detective pale in comparson to Cole who acquired his during his time at the CIA. Cole reluctantly agrees to let Pepper retrieve the painting, but only if Pepper will allow him to explore their mutual attraction for the next 24 hours.

The final story in the 24 Hours: Island Fling series tells an interesting tale where Pepper tries to be the confident private eye, while opening herself to experience everything Cole has to offer. The actual theft of the painting was a bit hokey, but the ending made up for it. Definitely worth reading.
