Love, Suburban Style by Wendy Markham
When Broadway star Meg Addams’ teenaged daughter starts having trouble in school, she decides to move back to the small town where she grew up. To her surprise, the small town has become a trendy suburban community filled with sushi shops and Hummers driven by soccer moms. Unfortunately, home prices have gone though the roof and the only house she can afford is rumored to be haunted. To make matters worse, living next door is her high school crush, Sam Rooney, who is also a single parent. Sparks fly from the moment they first meet, but will the two parents choose their children over their happiness?
This is a cute, character driven story. It’s filled with conflict ranging from Sam’s feelings toward his dead wife to the adjustments Meg must make so her daughter can live a normal life. I always love Wendy’s stories and this one is no exception.
