Jake teams up with Mallory when he finds he can’t lose no matter how badly he plays and soon they find themselves attracted to each other. Now can Mallory and Jake find a way to overcome her curse, or will the criminals at the tournament decide to change Mallory’s luck permanently?

This story features a nice collection of unique characters along with a good adventure story. There’s also enough humor to make you laugh out loud several times along the way. A good read.

She’s tracked them to a village on a backward planet called Earth and finds herself and her team pursued not only by the zombies, but by Bahia Vista police detective, Theo Petrakos. Theo and Jorie team up after he finds a mummified body and Jorie loses touch with her ship and working together sends off all kinds of sparks between them. But while Jorie is really attracted to Theo, can she open up her heart knowing than their love is forbidden?

Another great book from Linnea Sinclair. This one offers a familiar setting for readers who do not enjoy stories set in a completely different universe. I really liked how she handled the language differences between Theo and Jorie, it made the story much more believable. If you like action and paranormal books, then you really should give this one a try.

Now which one will Fred choose, or will she just panic and decide to run away from everyone?

I love MaryJanice’s sense of humor and the weird characters and settings she creates. She’s an automatic buy for me and worth reading for anyone that enjoys humor in a paranormal story.

Riding the Thunder by Deborah MacGillivary

For some reason this book caught my eye in the store. I guess it was the denim-like cover with the picture of a couple on a motorcycle. Of course the title could have had something to do with it and the back cover even hinted at paranormal activity in the story. But the story failed to live up to my expectations, since there wasn’t much of a story in this book. There was a lot of pretty pictures painted along the way, but there wasn’t that much in the way of strong conflicts or even good humor to keep me interested. Even the promised motorcycle made only a minor appearance in the story. Perhaps if I had read the previous story, The Invasion of Falgannon Isle, I might have liked it more. But for some reason, this book had a distinctly Historical writing style to it, even though it was set in the current day. I wish I’d left the book in the store or at least in my to-be-read-someday-in-the-far-future pile.

This appears to be the final story in the Date Me, Baby, One More Time series of books. In a way, I’m kinda disappointed as I wanted to see Satan finally land the girl of his dreams. But this is an interesting tale and one that many paranormal loves will enjoy.

Asling Grey returns in Katie’s latest Guardian novel to finally Drake Vireo the wyvern of the green dragons. But the road to the wedding is cluttered with missing grooms, missing brides, warring dragons, angry demon lords, and just about every other type of otherworldly creature with a grudge. Will she make it this time or just end up damned to Hell for the rest of eternity.

This story is very satisfying in that most of the unresolved conflicts spanning the last several books reach satisfying conclusions. If you’ve read her previous stories in this stories, this is definitely a must read book.

This is a hot spicy book that delivers. I love the humor and the fact that the heroine is not Twiggy thin, which is something I suffer from myself. If you liked her earlier books, Good Girls Do and Bad Girls Don’t, I think you’ll enjoy this one too.

The sequel to Cross My Heart is a fun romp, featuring the two characters you’d knew deserved their own story. Carly delivered a great story with a lot of conflict between the characters as well as a nice mystery for them to solve. I highly recommend this book.

This is a cute story about a farmer with big ideas but can’t secure a loan because he’s single, so he hires a school teacher to help secure his loan. His contracted wife is a writer who wants privacy write stories about her aunt’s scandalous tales and the farm gives her what she needs. Together they get more than they bargained for.

While I love comedy books like this, it also demonstrates how far romance stories have evolved over the years. I recommend this book for Evanovich fans and for lovers of romantic comedy everywhere.

This case soon leads her to an eccentric old lady (who’s obviously rich, otherwise she’d be just a crazy old lady) who turns up dead and her family is scrambling over her money. But when Jane finds a second body, the mystery just starts getting weirder and weirder. Now it’s up to Jane to figure out the mystery and solve the crime.

I loved the mystery and how the story unfolded and I’m looking forward to reading Nancy’s next book, Ultra Violet.

Now can Jane find the body before she decided to get back with her ex- or will Jane end up the killer’s next victim.

A complex plot combined with the right amount of humor and wacky characters are a great way to catch my interest. You definitely should give this one a try.

In addition to handing out her business cards, Lil finds herself on the show itself when all she wants is to spend time with the sexy vampire, Ty Bonner. Unfortunately danger abounds and if they’re not careful, they’ll be erased with the first daylight.

A worthwhile read and one that will definitely bring a smile to your face.

Vicki managed to carry her popular nerd franchise into the paranormal world with this cute story. If you’ve liked her stories in the past, but are afraid of paranormal books in general, you should give this one a try. It’s everything that a normal paranormal isn’t, except for a little light magic.

However this time the thief most dangerous man she’s ever encountered and Samantha’s put herself and Rick’s lives in great danger.

A great plot with enough sex and danger to keep you turning pages as fast as you can. This almost (I repeat almost ) makes up for the fact that I had to wade though a historical story to get to another Samantha Jellicoe story. Highly recommended.

Two tales of the otherworld make this book enjoyable. In Stag Party, Dane Hearne – an Irish fertility god much choose a bride before the annual celebration or forfeit his powers. He believes he’s found his soul mate in the form of Megan St. Clair, a travel writer, but Megan refuses to become involved with such an ego-centric individual. Now can Dane convince Megan to marry him, or will Dane be forced to give up his godhood as well as his life.

In Norse Truly, the hero is cursed to sail his Viking ship along the same stretch of Scandinavian coastline forever. However when Alrik Sigurdsson finds the only woman who could possibly save him, she doesn’t believe his improbable story

Both stories are cute and funny, and both are written in first person. But this is the first time I’ve read a complete story, showing only the hero’s point of view. If you love Katie’s other books, I’m sure you’ll love this one.

While Shelby Tucker makes a living by giving tours of haunted houses, she’s never actually seen a ghost – at least until the Boston Macnamara rents one of the houses. Boston is in town to inspect the plastics plant, which is the town’s major employer for possible shutdown. Now a batch of random accidents is pushing the two together. But are the accidents random or is someone or something’s magic at work.

I liked this story enough to check out some of Erin’s other stories. I enjoyed the humor and wish more writers would incorporate it into their stories.

Imagine being raised in family where assassination is a tradition and children are raised to be ruthless to be deadly killers. But when the heroine falls in love with someone charged with protecting her latest target, the situation explodes – literally.

This story doesn’t take itself too seriously and it filled with lots of humor and interesting situations. While the publisher is noted for it’s chick-lit stories, this particular one ends with a happily ever after. I’m definitely looking forward to her next book.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. While I love the Samantha Jellicoe stories, this one is half historical and half modern with a common thread that links the two time periods. The reason this book rates a very good is that the quality of the first story doesn’t compare to the second, so I picked something in between. I guess a true fan of historical novels might feel differently, but for me it was extremely difficult to sympathize with the characters and why the did the things they did. I felt that Suzanne should have spent some time explaining things to contemporary readers rather than assuming they understood the historical context of the story. If you really enjoy reading about the cat burglar and the billionaire, then you probably should read this story. But I have a hard time recommending it otherwise.

Lovely Lies – Peter Random loses his job when his employer goes bankrupt after Renee turns over the medicine to the government. But his life takes an unusual spin when he finds a drunk girl curled up in the backseat of his car. His protective skills take over when someone attacks her and soon he finds himself with a temporary job as her bodyguard. But then he begins to wonder who is going to protect him from her.

Delightful Deception – despite her brilliant mind, Thea Foster never realized how many problems would come from sneaking the experimental medicine she created into Renee’s bag. But her biggest problem is dealing with the new owner of the company and soon after their first kiss she realizes that his plans have nothing to do with her research skills.

The three short stories are cute and somewhat connected. While not as extreme as some of her stories, all three feature MaryJanice’s quirky brand of humor and sensuality. If you love her other stories, I’m sure you love these too.

This is Leslie Kelly’s first novel and it’s easy to see why she sold the very first book she wrote. I loved the subplot where Kelsey hosted a late night radio called Night Whispers, whose primary topic was sex which she tried to hide from Mitch. Add that a stalker created enough mystery to keep me turning pages quickly. I especially liked the fact that Leslie set this story in Baltimore where I spent the first 30 odd years of my life. though for some reason I don’t remember this particular radio show My only problem was the book was over way too quickly and now I have to wait 'till summer for Leslie's next book

This is the first of four Harlequin re-releases featuring some of my favorite Temptation and Blaze authors. I disappointed at first when I realized this wasn’t a spy novel (The Spy Who Loved Me is my all-time-favorite James Bond movie {except for possibly the original Casino Royale, but that’s a whole ‘nuther story }). I loved the way this book puts a reverse spin on my attempts at writing romance novels. Maybe I should adopt the name of a sexy chick, who hopelessly attracts men of all shapes and sizes. And then when that magnificent creature walks into my life, I’ll be spell bound and unable to function. But wait, it already happened (right Jill ). Anyway, this story reminds me of an old television show, Remington Steele, where the heroine is a private detective but can’t get any work because no one believes she can do the job, so she creates a boss shrouded in secrecy, Remington Steele who’s reputation is incredible. (hmmm…Wonder if they re-released this series on DVD yet?) Anyway, if you can’t tell I really loved this book. So if you hadn’t read it the first time around, you’d better get this edition before it’s too late.
